Hussein is an innovative, bold, and tech-savvy C-Level executive with 22 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, and operations in the Middle East and Africa. Passionate about service excellence and leadership, Hussein is a strong believer that people are the enablers of high-performance cultures. He has a proven track record in several industries such as shipping, transportation, logistics, supply chain, e-commerce, last mile and digital transformations within logistics to name a few. He is currently the Founder and CEO of PlugMena, a practical advisory firm that aims to support clients in the region with their growth and transformation projects. In his last corporate role, Hussein served as Fetchr’s rescue CEO, the first UAE tech-enabled delivery and logistics company. Prior to this, Hussein served as a full-time advisor at the UAE’s Prime Minister’s Office in Dubai where he worked very closely with the federal government services team in developing and transforming government services across channels together with improving the resident experience while bridging between the Public and the Private sectors.

David is a UK Qualified Accountant and a graduate of Trinity College Dublin. With over two decades of global experience in transformational settings across diverse industries, David has spent fourteen of those years at an executive level, with the last nine being rooted in the Middle East. He’s an established author, penning a series of articles on VAT for the UAE published in The National and contributing to international platforms like Bloomberg and The Telegraph. David’s expertise encompasses VAT, finance, project management, business turnaround, treasury, audit, IT systems & ERP, business process re-engineering, and contract negotiations.
